Banner celebrates National Apprenticeship Week #NAW2019
National Apprenticeship Week (#NAW2019) is here and, at Banner, we’re showing our support by celebrating how our apprentices have #BlazedATrail.
Our Apprentices
Why employ Apprentices?
With twenty apprentices employed at Banner, we know the benefits that they provide to employers, individuals, local communities and the wider economy.
It’s the passion, inquisitiveness and eagerness to learn that makes apprentices valuable to an employer. They bring new ideas and a different perspective, which benefits the business. We encourage those considering an apprenticeship to go for it and more employers to offer them.
Working with our local colleges
Banner is one of the largest business supplies providers in the UK, with offices located across 7 different locations. We work closely with local Colleges, such as Bradford College and New College Swindon, to offer apprenticeship opportunities in a wide variety of sectors such as sales, customer services and marketing.
We’ll be taking part in more celebrations during #NAW2019, including a visit from breakfast presenters Mylo & Rosie from Pulse1 radio station in West Yorkshire, who will be living a day in the life of an Apprentice at Banner on Friday 8th March 2019.
More about National Apprenticeship week
National Apprenticeship week (#NAW2019) takes place from Monday 4th to Friday 8th March. This year is the 12th annual celebration, where 780 events will be taking place across England during the weeklong event.
Skills Minister Anne Milton who chose the theme of “blazing a trail” for this year says that “what an apprenticeship is all about, it’s happening up and down the country – apprentices and employers blazing a trail”.
