On 14th January 2020, Windows 7 will reach its 'end of life' meaning its operating system will no longer be supported by Microsoft.
On this date, Microsoft will discontinue all support, including paid support, and all updates, including security updates.
Until then, the operating system is in an in-between phase known as extended support. During this phase, Microsoft is offering paid support and continues to provide security updates but not design and feature ones.
If you continue to use Windows 7 after support has ended, your PC will still work, but it may become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Your PC will continue to start and run, but Microsoft will no longer provide support for your business.
To avoid security risks and viruses, Microsoft recommends you upgrade to Windows 10. For advice on how to upgrade and deploy Windows 10 visit the Microsoft website.
