Introducing you to Emma Casey, a family and community focused member of the healthcare team, who is celebrating 15 years at Banner this year!
Emma has been with Banner now for just short of 15 years. She moved from Manchester to West Yorkshire, to start within the Banner health team, before moving to manage local authorities and government in 2007. Emma has been back in the healthcare team now for four years, working predominately with NHSSC and NHS Trusts, to ensure that Banner is offering the product profile required, whilst achieving savings and supporting customers to meet their environmental targets, via compliant frameworks.
Mum of three and a Nana, Emma lives a busy and active lifestyle which she loves. As a driven and highly motived person, Emma really enjoys taking on new challenges, including working with local communities to support them, where she can.
As an active member of her local Parish Council for 2 years, Emma has been helping to organise improvements in her village and community. This involves regular council meetings to co-ordinate projects within the village, and working with the events committee who host annual events such as a Summer Gala, Christmas market and Santa sleigh.
Her volunteering and community spirit doesn't stop with the Parish Council! Emma also supports the school where her youngest child attends. This has involved helping with sports day and fundraisers.
CSR is at the heart of our decision making at Banner and Emma also puts CSR high on her agenda. Whether that be with the customers she works worth, getting involved with company run initiatives, such as beach cleans, or initiating and organising fundraising activities herself, Emma supports however possible. Some to note include, Christmas boxes for the Salvation Army, arranging donations of supplies throughout Covid to help with shortages of equipment, and most recently, Emma arranged for food and household items to be donated to a foodbank, prior to Christmas.
Outside of work and volunteering, Emma loves spending quality time with her family. Most days you will find her at the park or on a football pitch of an evening, even in the freezing cold with her 8 year old son (who even in winter lives in shorts!). Emma looks after her granddaughter on a Friday and enjoys taking her to new places to explore. The latest addition to the family is Alfie, a Patterdale terrier. Alfie loves his home and joins the other family pets, which so far consists of a few fish and chickens!
