Banner have been awarded the ISO27001 certificate for both Normanton and Sheffield offices after plenty of hard work from the Banner Information Security and senior management teams.ISO27001

What is the ISO27001?

The ISO27001 is an international standard for an information security management system (ISMS). The ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that includes legal, physical and technical controls designed to address information security risks identified in a formal risk management process.

What does this mean?

Now that Banner are certified at their 2 main sites, we can set ourselves apart from competitors and help cement stakeholder confidence.

So, why is it important?

The ISO27001 certification provides to our public and private sector customers, with confidence that we can protect their data security and information assets. It demonstrates that we can provide robust levels of confidentially and integrity for all existing and potential new customers, including the ability to ensure availability of service through our business continuity processes and controls.

Fundamentally this certification ensures that all stakeholders can be assured that information security best practice processes are implemented within Banner at NDC and Sheffield.

What else do we own?

As well as the recently obtained ISO27001, Banner have previously been awarded an ISO9001:2015 for Quality, the environmental ISO1400:2015 and an ISO18001:2007 for Health and Safety. Going forward Banner are hoping to be awarded for ISO45001:2018 for Health and Safety.
