The devastating impact of the recent flooding on many communities and businesses across the UK has been widely reported.

Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands, West Midlands and parts of the South East being some of the most affected areas.

With such significant damage caused by the floods, it was without doubt that Banner and the wider Evo Group would organise a donation of supplies to support those in need.

The group set to, and organised a speedy delivery to the Flood Relief Distribution Centre, in Doncaster of products, such as buckets, toilet rolls and cleaning supplies, to help support the many people who are now having to clear up the mess caused by the flood.

Sheffield, which is where Evo Group HQ is located, was one of the worst places affected. The area received around 84mm of rain fall in just over 36 hours, with some people spending a night in a shopping centre and the motorway being closed. The impact on people’s lives was, and continues to be, significant.

Supporting our community’s forms one of our four corporate social responsibility pillars, which are integral to how we operate as a business. We work both locally and with the wider purpose of helping those less fortunate than ourselves. This includes donating products to schools, local food banks and rape alarms to a women’s refuge centre.

We’re glad that we were able to play a small part in supporting the Flood Appeal.
