Banner has worked strategically with the Public Sector for many years and has managed this and other product categories to ensure value for money and socially responsible solutions, while being efficient and effective, in line with the CCS strategy. This has included support and solutions from Banner to meet the Government-wide aim to eliminate avoidable consumer single-use plastics in Government estate offices.
This new contract is now open to but not limited to, Central Government Departments, NHS Bodies, Local Authorities, Emergency Services, Charities and Educational Establishments who have a requirement for office products.
Craig Varey, Managing Director at Banner, comments: “I am very proud of the dedicated CCS team at Banner who have demonstrated their expertise and professionalism to secure a place on this new Framework. I’m confident that our account management team will be as successful at increasing the number of organisations joining and benefitting from the added value that this new agreement offers the UK Public Sector.”
Notes to Editors
Banner is a workplace solutions provider, servicing organisations in the private and public sectors, large and small. The Banner story started over 200 years ago when it was part of Her Majesty’s Stationery Office, servicing all the stationery and print-related needs of government bodies. However, Banner now goes far beyond traditional supplies, providing solutions and services for the wider workplace, covering cleaning and janitorial supplies, furniture, printed goods and technology. Banner is the UK’s largest distributor of workplace products, with stock holding worth more than £50m. It has over 350 fleet vehicles, making over 18,000 deliveries per day, and picks over 100,000 lines per day in its 650,000-plus square feet of warehousing. The company says this impressive infrastructure means its customers are enabled and empowered to achieve their procurement targets, whatever they may be.
